In Vitro

Picumast (BM 15100) dose-dependently inhibits labelled histamine uptake by isolated human leucocytes^[1].

In Vivo

Picumast (BM 15100) (0.75 mg/kg; intravenous injection) significantly inhibits passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) reactions in rats, while also suppressing degranulation of mesenteric mast cells and histamine-induced cutaneous reactions in rats^[1].
Picumast (0.1‑0.8 mg/kg; p.o.) inhibits active cutaneous anaphylaxis (ACA) reactions in cynomolgus monkeys, with a significant inhibitory effect observed at the dose of 0.1 mg/kg^[1].
Picumast (0.75 mg/kg; p.o.) inhibits allergic conjunctivitis and hyperemia symptoms in guinea pigs^[1].
Picumast (0.4 mg/kg; p.o.) inhibits allergic bronchospasm in guinea pigs^[1].
