Description

Lactodifucotetraose is a difucosylated human milk oligosaccharide. Lactodifucotetraose inhibits platelet function and the release of inflammatory factors. Lactodifucotetraose can be used for the research of *Campylobacter jejuni*-associated diarrhea and platelet-induced inflammatory processes[1].

In Vitro

Lactodifucotetraose (0-10 mg/mL; 15 min pre-incubation; 2 h thrombin activation) dose-dependently inhibits thrombin-induced release of the proinflammatory proteins RANTES and sCD40L from isolated adult platelets[2].
Lactodifucotetraose (0-2 mg/mL; 15 min pre-incubation; 2 h incubation on collagen-coated wells) inhibits the adhesion of isolated adult platelets to collagen-coated surfaces in a dose-dependent manner[2].
Lactodifucotetraose (0-5 mg/mL; 5 min pre-incubation followed by agonist activation) dose-dependently inhibits aggregation and ATP release of isolated adult platelets activated by Collagen (HY-NP003) or ADP (HY-W010918)[2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
