Description

Protobioside is a steroidal saponin found in the dry bulbs of Fritillaria pallidiflora Schrenk. Protobioside shows no significant cytotoxic activity against human cancer cells^[1].

In Vitro

Protobioside (3-100 μM; 48 h) shows no in vitro cytotoxic activity against human C6 brain glioma cells and human HeLa cervix cancer cells, with an IC₅₀ value greater than 100 μM^[1].
