Garcinoic acid is an orally active anti-inflammatory agent that crosses the blood-brain barrier. Garcinoic acid also enhances efferocytosis and enzyme/receptor regulation, and selectively inhibits human COX-2, porcine α-amylase, Saccharomyces cerevisiae α-glucosidase and human DNA polymerase β (IC50=11 μM), as well as activates human PXR. Garcinoic acid enhances macrophage efferocytosis via receptors such as MerTK and LRP-1, and promotes the production of pro-resolving lipid mediators. Garcinoic acid inhibits NF-κB activation and pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion, interferes with Aβ aggregation, downregulates NLRP3 inflammasome activity, and binds to targets including CD44 and EGFR to inhibit leukemia cell proliferation. The pharmacological activities of Garcinoic acid, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and lipid metabolism-regulating effects, are widely used in studies related to various diseases including atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, type 2 diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease and viral pneumonia .

Dextran 70,000 is a high molecular weight polysaccharide formed by glucose linked by α-(1→6) glycosidic bonds. Dextran 70,000 can expand blood volume through colloidal osmotic pressure effect and inhibit cell adhesion and platelet aggregation through steric hindrance. At the same time, Dextran 70,000 can be used as a drug carrier to achieve targeted delivery through endocytosis. Dextran 70,000 is biologically inert and has low immunogenicity. It can be used for clinical blood volume expansion, anti-thrombotic research, and evaluation of vascular permeability in in vitro experiments. It can also be combined with fluorescent dyes for cell tracking and drug delivery research. The Dextran series of compounds are also natural polysaccharide drug carriers that can be connected to drugs through covalent bonding methods such as ester bonds, amide bonds or click chemistry, or self-assembled to form carriers such as nanoparticles and hydrogels. Dextran is biodegradable and biocompatible, and can achieve targeted delivery and controlled release of drugs. Dextran derivatives can prolong the half-life of drugs, increase local concentrations, and reduce the activity of immune clearance.

Metabolic Disease

15(R)-15-Methyl prostaglandin D2 (15(R)-15-methyl PGD2) is a metabolically stable synthetic analog of PGD2. The physiological actions of PGD2 include regulation of sleep, lowering of body temperature, inhibition of platelet aggregation and relaxation of vascular smooth muscle. PGD2 mediates its effects by 2 distinct G-protein-coupled receptors, DP1and CRTH2/DP2. 15(R)-15-Methyl prostaglandin D2 is a potent, selective agonist for the CRTH2/DP2 receptor. The EC50 values for eosinophil CD11b expression, actin polymerization, and chemotaxis are 1.4, 3.8, and 1.7 nM, respectively, each of which is approximately 3-5 fold lower than those for PGD2. In contrast the EC50 for the DP1-mediated increase in platelet cAMP by 15(R)-15-methyl PGD2 is >10 μM.

Photoswitchable PM8 is a fluorescent probe used for super-resolution imaging of the plasma membrane. Photoswitchable PM8 functions through a light-induced Z/E isomerization mechanism: in the hydrophobic cell membrane environment, the Z isomer forms a planar intramolecular charge transfer state stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bond, which restricts conformational freedom, reduces nonradiative decay, and produces bright fluorescence; in contrast, the E isomer lacks this hydrogen bond, has increased conformational freedom, and exhibits a fluorescence-quenched state. The fluorescence of Photoswitchable PM8 can be switched "on/off" by visible light: activation with 405 nm light forms the fluorescent Z isomer, and switching with 561 nm light converts it to the nonfluorescent E isomer. In the membrane environment, Photoswitchable PM8 enables single-molecule localization for super-resolution imaging. Due to solvent-induced quenching and aggregation, Photoswitchable PM8 has negligible fluorescence in aqueous solution, but upon binding to the hydrophobic membrane environment it produces bright fluorescence, enabling high signal-to-noise ratio imaging without washing .

Since ancient times, promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis (PBCRBS) has been one of the most popular research contents in the area of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and integrated medicine. Rhizoma, Persicae Semen, Carthami Flos, Curcumae Longae Rhizoma and so on are common TCM with PBCRBS characteristic. Studies have shown that the mechanism of action of PBCRBS TCM is to promote blood circulation (improving cardiovascular and cerebrovascular functions, physical and chemical properties of blood, platelet and coagulation system and other physiological functions) and remove blood stasis (anti-myocardial ischemia, cerebral ischemia, inhibition of platelet aggregation, anti-coagulation, anti-thrombosis, etc.). Not only that, PBCRBS TCM has anti-infection, inhibit inflammation, regulate immune function, inhibit immune response, inhibit abnormal tissue proliferation and other functions. Therefore, PBCRBS TCM has high research value in all- field disease research fields.

MCE can supply 1,006 monomer component from more than a hundred sources of PBCRBS TCM, which can be used in TCM studies, drug development and mechanism-based studies.

CDPP-2PF6 is a dicationic aggregation-induced emission (AIE) fluorescent probe used for imaging of cell membranes, migrasomes, and PIP2 lipid vesicles, as well as for long-term imaging of cell membranes and migrasomes. CDPP-2PF6 relies on electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions to achieve dual-mode membrane anchoring, with the PF6 - counterion enhancing lipophilicity and generating fluorescence through restriction of intramolecular motion (RIM). When CDPP-2PF6 accumulates in phosphoinositide-rich membrane regions, RIM suppresses non-radiative decay pathways. Due to the electrostatic interaction between the positively charged core of CDPP-2PF6 and the high negative charge density of PIP2, CDPP-2PF6 exhibits a strong preferential affinity for phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). The fluorescence localization of CDPP-2PF6 depends on intact lipid microdomain structures and enables real-time tracking of membrane remodeling processes (Ex/Em = 450/760 nm) .
