IC50 & Target[1]

Fungal Metabolite

In Vitro

Wailupemycin F potently inhibits Micrococcus luteus, with an MIC of 1.1 μM[1].
Wailupemycin F exhibits moderate cytotoxicity against NS-1 myeloma cells (LD99 = 8.6 μM) and NFF cells (LD99 = 4.3 μM). It shows 2.0-fold selectivity for NFF cells over NS-1 cells, and 7.8-fold selectivity for NS-1 cells over Micrococcus luteus[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
