2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde
Based on 1 Customer Validation
2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde is a derivative of Gentisaldehyde (HY-N1673), as well as an Antibacterial and anticancer agent. 2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde inhibits the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins. It exhibits antibacterial activity against 172 Staphylococcus aureus isolates from bovine mastitis, with an MIC50 of 500 mg/L. 2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde can be used in the research of bovine mastitis and L1210 mouse leukemia.

2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde (125-2000 mg/L; 24 h) exhibits antimicrobial activity against 172 bovine mastitis Staphylococcus aureus isolates, with a MIC50 of 500 mg/L and a MIC90 of 833 mg/L[3].
2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde (125-2000 mg/L; 24 h) shows low cytotoxicity to bovine mammary epithelial MAC-T cells, with over 64% cell viability maintained at concentrations ranging from 125 to 2,000 mg/L[3].
2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde (0.1-1.0 mM) inhibits DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis in L1210 lymphocytic leukemia cells, with an IC50 of 169 μM for DNA synthesis, and lacks the selective DNA synthesis inhibition seen in other dihydroxybenzene derivatives[4].
2,3-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde (48 h) inhibits the growth of L1210 lymphocytic leukemia cells in vitro with an ED50 of 20 μM, showing greater growth inhibitory potency relative to its DNA synthesis inhibition activity[4].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
