Benzoylhypaconine (Benzoylhypacoitine) is a monoester Aconitum alkaloid, is the main pharmacologic and toxic component[1].

In Vitro

Aconitum alkaloids have narrow therapeutic indices. Their potential toxicity, which is caused by hyperpolarization and activation of voltage-dependent sodium and calcium channels, can result in fatal cardiac poisoning and neurotoxicity[1].
