1. Anti-infection Cell Cycle/DNA Damage
  2. Bacterial Topoisomerase
  3. Antibacterial agent 327

Antibacterial agent 327 (Compound 6f) is an Antibacterial agent. Antibacterial agent 327 potently inhibits the supercoiling activity of Staphylococcus aureus DNA gyrase with an IC50 of 0.28 μM. It also inhibits the ATPase activities of DNA gyrase and Topoisomerase IV, as well as the decatenation activity of Topoisomerase IV (IC50: 0.43 μM, 0.73 μM, and 2.31 μM, respectively). Antibacterial agent 327 potently inhibits Clostridioides difficile and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (HY-121544), with an MIC of 0.78 μg/mL for both. Antibacterial agent 327 inhibits Escherichia coli with an MIC50 of 0.78 μg/mL.

In Vitro

Antibacterial agent 327 potently inhibits Clostridium difficile and Methicillin (HY-121544)-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, with an MIC of 0.78 μg/mL for both[1].
Antibacterial agent 327 (0.78-100 μg/mL) potently inhibits Escherichia coli, with an MIC50 of 0.78 μg/mL; meanwhile, it shows weak activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Salmonella typhimurium, and limited activity against Klebsiella pneumoniae[1].
Antibacterial agent 327 (0.28-2.31 μM) potently inhibits the supercoiling activity of Staphylococcus aureus DNA gyrase with an IC50 of 0.28 μM. It also inhibits the ATPase activities of DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, as well as the decatenation activity of topoisomerase IV[1].
Antibacterial agent 327 exhibits an IC50 value of 85.52 μM against WI-38 fibroblasts[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
