Pentapeptide-3 is a multifunctional anti-aging cosmeceutical peptide and Acetylcholine Receptor antagonist that induces muscle relaxation by antagonizing acetylcholine receptors and mimics enkephalin to exert botulinum-like activity. Pentapeptide-3 exhibits strong binding affinity to TGF-β receptor-1 with a docking score of -8.12 kcal/mol and forms key hydrogen bonds with ASP290, HIS283, TYR282, TYR249, and ILE211[1].
Pentapeptide-3 interacts with TNF-α with a docking score of -6.12 kcal/mol and forms a hydrogen bond with TYR151[1].
Pentapeptide-3 binds to AKT-1 with a docking score of -7.38 kcal/mol and forms hydrogen bonds with ASP292, ASN279, and GLU234[1].
Pentapeptide-3 exhibits strong binding affinity with MAPK14, with a docking score of -8.25 kcal/mol, and forms hydrogen bonds with LEU171, GLY170, LYS53, and TYR35[1].
Pentapeptide-3, a pentapeptide derived from snake venom (H-Gly-Pro-Arg-Pro-Ala-NH2), acts as an ACh receptor antagonist, blocking neural function and preventing unwanted muscle spasms[2].
