LS24-16

LS24-16 is a carbonic anhydrase (CA) IX enzyme inhibitor (K_i ≤ 1.6 nM versus human CA IX; K_d = 0.40 nM). LS24-16 inhibits carbon dioxide hydration by binding to the catalytic zinc site and displacing the zinc-bound water with its deprotonated sulfamate amino group. LS24-16 competes with fluorescent CA IX probes for binding to CA IX on hypoxic cells and remains stable under the tested stress conditions. LS24-16 can be used for solid tumor research.

LS24-16 (0-4 μM; 20 min) binds to CA IX on hypoxic HeLa cells with a K_d of 0.9 nM^[1].

Renal Regulation

LS24-16 (compound 16) (0-200 μM) binds to human CA IX with a K_d of 0.40 nM, and to CA VII and CA XIII with K_d values of 6.1 nM and 6.2 nM, respectively^[1].
LS24-16 (0-20 μM; 1 h) inhibits the CO₂ hydration of human CA IX with K_i ≤ 1.6 nM^[1].

Others

LS24-16 (400 μM; 0-180 min) remains stable for > 180 min at 60°C and pH 3.2 to pH 9.1, but degrades at pH 11.1 with a half-life of 60 min^[1].
