Biological Activity
Neoschaftoside binds with high affinity to the ATP-binding cleft of the purified EGFR tyrosine kinase domain (PDB ID: 4ZAU), as evidenced by a Glide docking score of -10.765 and a Glide energy of -63.293 kcal/mol, forming multiple stabilizing hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic contacts[1].
Neoschaftoside exists in mixed C-glycosylflavones extracted from elicitor-treated Colobanthus quitensis, and the mixture (75 μg/mL extract concentration) inhibits radial mycelial growth of Botrytis cinerea[2].
Neoschaftoside induces intense stylet probing behavior of Nilaparvata lugens, Sogatella furcifera and Laodelphax striatellus on artificial sucrose medium[3].
