Tiotropium bromide blocks the action of acetylcholine at muscarinic M1, M2, and M3 receptors, prevents bronchoconstriction, and dilates bronchial airways. Tiotropium bromide is applicable to research related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma.
