Zymolyase, Arthrobacter luteus
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Zymolyase, Arthrobacter luteus, is a zymolyase mainly found in Arthrobacter luteus. Enzyme, an enzyme with beta-1,3 glucanase activity, removes the electron-dense outer layer of the Plasmodium karinii cell wall, exposing an electron-lucent layer.

Product Information
This product is a new type of enzyme product produced by deep fermentation of Arthrobacter luteus and purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation. It has strong yeast cell wall dissolving activity. The essential enzyme that determines the yeast cell wall dissolving activity of this product is β-1,3-glucan laminaripentaohydrolase (β-1,3-glucanlaminaripentaohydrolase), which hydrolyzes β-l,3-linked linear glucose polymers to release specific laminaripentasaccharide (which is also the most important and smallest hydrolysis product unit). The enzyme's solubility range varies according to the yeast type, yeast growth cycle or culture conditions.
Optimal pH and temperature: pH 7.5, 35°C (lyse live yeast cells); pH 6.5, 45°C (hydrolyze yeast glucan)
Stable pH range: pH 5-10
Thermal stability: 60°C, 5min complete loss of enzyme activity
Activator: sulfhydryl compounds such as cysteine, B-mercaptoethanol or DTT
Instructions
This product is easily soluble in water. It is recommended to dissolve in 1/15M phosphate buffer at pH 7.5 (0.05-0.1 mg/ml), or use the buffer related to your own experimental system to dissolve, or prepare the storage solution according to the literature. It can be sterilized by filtration with a 0.22 filter membrane other than nitrocellulose membrane.
After dissolution, it can be placed at 2-8°C for a short period of time and can be stored for 2 weeks. If long-term storage is required, it can be divided according to the single use amount and stored at -20°C. It can be stable for several months. This powdered product is placed at 30°C, and the enzyme activity loses about 70% in 3 months.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In a reaction system containing 3 mL of brewer's yeast cell suspension (2 mg dry wt/mL) as substrate, 5 mL of 1/15 M phosphate buffer (pH 7.5) as buffer, 1 mL of Zymolyase at 0.05-0.1 mg/mL as enzyme solution, and 1 mL of deionised water, a decrease of 30% in the absorbance value of A800 was defined as one unit of enzyme activity.
