DHEA (Prasterone) is one of the most abundant steroid hormones. DHEA (Prasterone) mediates its action via multiple signaling pathways involving specific membrane receptors and via transformation into androgen and estrogen derivatives (e.g., androgens, estrogens, 7α and 7β DHEA, and 7α and 7β epiandrosterone derivatives) acting through their specific receptors.

Alpelisib (BYL-719) is an orally active PI3Kα-selective inhibitor that blocks the conversion of PIP2 to PIP3, thereby inhibiting pathways including PI3K/AKT/mTOR, MAPK/ERK, Notch and JAK-STAT. Alpelisib can be applied to research related to breast cancer, gastric cancer and lipomas associated with PTEN hamartoma tumor syndrome.

Fosribnicotinamide (β-nicotinamide mononucleotide) is a product of the nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) reaction and a key NAD⁺ intermediate. The pharmacological activities of Fosribnicotinamide include its role in cellular biochemical functions, cardioprotection, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, and complications associated with obesity.

Valproic acid (VPA) is an orally active HDAC inhibitor, with IC₅₀ in the range of 0.5 and 2 mM. Valproic acid inhibits HDAC1 (IC₅₀, 400 μM), and induces proteasomal degradation of HDAC2. Valproic acid activates Notch1 signaling and inhibits proliferation in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) cells. Valproic acid is used in the epilepsy, bipolar disorder, metabolic disease, HIV infection and prevention of migraine headaches.

Abemaciclib (LY2835219) is a selective and BBB-permeable CDK4/6 inhibitor with IC₅₀ values of 2 nM and 10 nM for CDK4 and CDK6, respectively.

Oxidopamine (6-OHDA) hydrobromide is an antagonist of the neurotransmitter dopamine. Oxidopamine hydrobromide is a widely used neurotoxin and selectively destroys dopaminergic neurons. Oxidopamine hydrobromide promotes COX-2 activation, leading to PGE₂ synthesis and pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1β secretion. Oxidopamine hydrobromide can be used for the research of Parkinson’s disease (PD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and Lesch-Nyhan syndrome.

Melatonin is a novel selective ATF-6 inhibitor and induces human hepatoma cell apoptosis through COX-2 downregulation. Melatonin attenuates palmitic acid-induced (HY-N0830) mouse granulosa cells apoptosis via endoplasmic reticulum stress.

T-5224 is a transcription factor c-Fos/activator protein (AP)-1 inhibitor with anti-inflammatory effects, which specifically inhibits the DNA binding activity of c-Fos/c-Jun without affecting other transcription factors. T-5224 inhibits the IL-1β-induced up-regulation of Mmp-3, Mmp-13 and Adamts-5 transcription.

MPP+ iodide, a toxic metabolite of the neurotoxin MPTP, causes symptom of Parkinson's disease in animal models by selectively destroying dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra. MPP+ iodide is taken up by the dopamine transporter into dopaminergic neurons where it exerts its neurotoxic action on mitochondria by affecting complex I of the respiratory chain. MPP+ iodide is also a high affinity substrate for the serotonin transporter (SERT).

H-89 is a potent and selective inhibitor of cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase (protein kinase A) with IC₅₀ of 48 nM and has weak inhibition on PKG, PKC, Casein Kinase, and others kinases.

Metronidazole is an orally active nitroimidazole antibiotic. Metronidazole can cross blood brain barrier. Metronidazole can be used for the research of anaerobic infections.

Upadacitinib (ABT-494) is a potent, orally active and selective Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor (IC₅₀=43 nM). Upadacitinib (ABT-494) displays approximately 74 fold selective for JAK1 over JAK2 (200 nM) in cellular assays dependent on specific, relevant cytokines. Upadacitinib (ABT-494) can be used for several autoimmune disorders research.

DAPI (4',6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole) dihydrochloride is a DAPI dye. DAPI is a fluorescent dye that binds strongly to DNA. It binds to the AT base pair of the double-stranded DNA minor groove, and one DAPI molecule can occupy three base pair positions. The fluorescence intensity of DAPI molecules bound to double-stranded DNA is increased by about 20 times, and it is commonly observed with fluorescence microscopy, and the amount of DNA can be determined based on the intensity of fluorescence. DAPI cannot penetrate intact cell membranes and is commonly used for staining damaged and fixed cells. DAPI (Compound 3) is an acid-sensing ion channel 3 (ASIC3) inhibitor. DAPI binds to ASIC3 and blocks the channel function. DAPI can be used in the study of chronic pain treatment (Ex/Em = 356/451 nm).

SCH772984 is a highly selective and ATP-competitive ERK inhibitor, with IC₅₀s of 4 and 1 nM for ERK1 and ERK2, respectively. SCH772984 has antitumor activity in MAPK inhibitor-naive and MAPK inhibitor-resistant cells containing BRAF or RAS mutations.

Indomethacin (Indometacin) is a potent, orally active COX1/2 inhibitor with IC₅₀ values of 18 nM and 26 nM for COX-1 and COX-2, respectively. Indomethacin has anticancer activity and anti-infective activity. Indomethacin can be used for cancer, inflammation and viral infection research.

Celecoxib,a selective and BBB-permeable non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is a selective COX-2 inhibitor with an IC₅₀ of 40 nM.

PMSF (Phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride) is a nonspecific and irreversible serine proteases inhibitor. PMSF inhibits some thiol proteases, non-protease enzymes, and acetylcholinesterase. PMSF can be used to prepare protein extracts from tissue and cell lysates.
