Description

Broussin ((S)-7-hydroxy-4'-methoxyflavane) is a flavane compound present in the branches and twigs of Broussonetia papyrifera. Broussin shows no significant antioxidant activity[1].

In Vitro

Broussin (1 μM; 25 h) does not inhibit LPS (HY-D1056)-stimulated activation of NF-κB/AP-1 in THP-1-XBlue™-MD2-CD14 cells[1].
Broussin (5 μM; 1 h) exhibits no significant cellular antioxidant activity in THP-1 cells[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
