F3 peptide
F3 peptide is a nucleolin-binding tumor-homing peptide that mediates selective uptake and internalization by tumor cells. F3 peptide is a 31-amino acid fragment of human high mobility group nucleosomal protein 2 (HMGN2). F3 peptide inhibits protein synthesis through ribosome inactivation. F3 peptide targets the tumor vasculature. F3 peptide can serve as an effective ligand to improve the druggability of macromolecular drugs or nanoparticles. F3 peptide is used in research on cancers such as glioblastoma and breast cancer.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
FITC-F3 peptide (10 nM; 2 h) binds to the 231-H2N cell membrane, internalizes, and translocates to the nucleus and nucleolus, colocalizing with nucleolin[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only. Further protocols information, click here.

Breast Cancer Modeling
Breast cancer is a heterogeneous cancer, and it has been distinguished into four subtypes: luminal A, luminal B, HER2-positive and basal-like. Molecular mutations, epigenetic alterations, hormone exposure and immune microenvironment are related to the progression of breast cancer.
