Parsalmide (0.01 nM-0.1 mM; 45 min) potently inhibits purified ovine COX-1 with an IC₅₀ of 9.92 μM, and also inhibits purified ovine COX-2 with an IC₅₀ of 155 μM, showing a 16-fold higher selectivity for COX-1 over COX-2^[1].

Parsalmide (10-100 mg/kg; p.o.; single administration) exhibits dose-dependent anti-inflammatory activity in carrageenan-induced edema rats^[1].
