Description

Khellin is a furochromone that can be isolated from Ammi visnuga L.. Khellin is an EGFR inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.15 µM. Khelline has anti-proliferative activity in vitro. Khellin has antispasmodic and coronary vasodilator effects[1][2].

IC50 & Target

IC50: 0.15 µM (EGFR)[1]

In Vitro

Khelline exhibits anti-proliferative activity for MCF-7 cells and Hela cells[1].
Khellin inhibits the pathways of Ca2+ influx which are activated by both noradrenaline and high K+[2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
