Novclobiocin 101
Novclobiocin 101 is a non-halogenated chloro Novobiocin (HY-B0425) analog and a DNA gyrase inhibitor (IC50 0.9 μM) that also inhibits DNA topoisomerase IV (IC50 6 μM). Novclobiocin 101 inhibits gyrase-catalyzed DNA supercoiling and topoisomerase IV-mediated DNA decatenation. Novclobiocin 101 exhibits antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis and shows cytotoxicity against small cell lung cancer cells. Novclobiocin 101 can be used for research on bacterial and fungal infections as well as cancer.
