(+)-Catechin pentaacetate is a precursor for the production of (+) catechin (HY-N0898 ). (+) catechin is a useful natural herbicide and antimicrobial. (+)-Catechin inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) with an IC50 of 1.4 μM.
