Description

SB 706504 is a potent p38 MAPK inhibitor that inhibits Lipopolysaccharides (HY-D1056)-stimulated inflammatory gene expression in macrophages in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)[1].

In Vitro

SB 706504(3 μM, 6 h) significantly reduces IL-1β, IL-6, GM-CSF, TNFα and IL-8 mRNA levels in LPS-stimulated monocyte derived macrophages (MDMs) cells[1].
SB 706504(3 μM, 6 h) can significantly reduce the level of TNFα induced by LPS in  alveolar macrophages (AMs) cells of COPD patients, with an inhibition rate of 67.4%[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
