Schirubridilactone D is a HIV-1 inhibitor with an EC50 of 80.8 µg/mL. Schirubridilactone D is a nortriterpenoid isolated from the leaves and stems of Schisandra rubriflora. Schirubridilactone D inhibits HIV-1 replication and blocks HIV-1-induced cytopathic effects. Schirubridilactone D is applicable to research related to HIV-1 infection.

Schirubridilactone D (compound 4) inhibits HIV-1-induced cytopathic effects in C8166 cells with an EC50 of 80.8 µg/mL and a selectivity index of 2.2[1].
Schirubridilactone D (compound 257) inhibits HIV-1 replication in infected C8166 cells with an EC50 of 80.8 μg/mL and a selectivity index of 2.2[2].
Schirubridilactone D does not exhibit obvious cytotoxic activity against K562 or HepG2 cells[1].
