Description

Triptohypol E is a triterpenoid compound and nitric oxide production inhibitor that can be isolated from the leaves of Rhododendron dauricum L. Triptohypol E inhibits nitric oxide production in LPS-stimulated macrophages in a dose-dependent manner[1].

In Vitro

Triptohypol E (30 μM; 24 h) exhibits no cytotoxicity toward RAW 264.7 cells[1].
Triptohypol E (3-30 μM; 2 h pre-incubation followed by 24 h LPS co-incubation) dose-dependently inhibits NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
