BAX-IN-2
BAX-IN-2 is a potent and selective BAX inhibitor with an IC50 of 2.78 μM. BAX-IN-2 binds to the allosteric deep hydrophobic pocket between helices α3-α6 of the BAX protein and, by stabilizing the local conformation, inhibits BAX activation, oligomerization, and mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization in the early apoptosis cascade. BAX-IN-2 can be used for research on acute ischemic stroke, traumatic central nervous system injury, myocardial ischemia-reperfusion, and neurodegenerative diseases.

In Vitro
BAX-IN-2 shows minimal inhibition of EGFR/HER2, and no activity is detected in a kinase panel comprising 45 kinases[1].
BAX-IN-2 (0.3-100 μM; 72 h) exhibits very low cytotoxicity in HepG2 cells and does not significantly affect cell viability, metabolic activity, or membrane integrity[1].
