Description

Cyenopyrafen is a mitochondrial complex II inhibitor and acaricide. Cyenopyrafen controls spider mites on fruit trees, vegetables and flowers^[1].

All Parasite Isoforms :

In Vivo

Cyenopyrafen (1.8-255.34 mg/L; foliar spray; 24 h) exhibits toxic differences among different strains of Tetranychus urticae (two-spotted spider mite)^[1].

Animal Model:

susceptible reference strains (GSS, LS-VL, London); acaricide-resistant strains (SR-TK, Akita, MR-VP, BR-VL, HOL1, EtoxR, Hennep-R, TU008, SR-VP, MR-VL); laboratory-selected cyflumetofen-resistant strain (TU008R)^[1]
Dosage:

1.8-255.34 mg/L (LC₅₀ range across strains)
Administration:

spray; synergist pre-treatment 24 hours prior to cyenopyrafen exposure; mortality assessed 24 hours post-treatment
Result:

Ranged LC₅₀ values from 7.47 to 15.32 mg/L in susceptible reference strains.
Showed LC₅₀ values between 7.63 and 23.13 mg/L in most field-collected resistant strains, except MR-VP strain with an LC₅₀ of 255.34 mg/L (RR 24.7).
Reached an LC₅₀ of 1.8 mg/L in multi-resistant MR-VL strain.
Achieved an LC₅₀ of 2.08 mg/L (RR 0.2) in TU008R strain, compared to parental TU008 strain's LC₅₀ of 12.47 mg/L (RR 1.21).
