Dianellin is an orally active anti-malarial agent found in Kniphofia foliosa. Dianellin binds to Plasmodium falciparum plasmepsin II and shows anti-malarial activity in mice. Dianellin can be used for the research of malaria.

Animal Model:Swiss albino (5-6 weeks old, 20-25 g, male or female, intraperitoneally inoculated with Plasmodium berghei ANKA strain-infected erythrocytes)[1]

Demonstrated statistically significant suppression compared to negative control (p < 0.001).
