EMD 53998
Based on 1 Customer Validation
EMD 53998 is a cardiotonic agent that increases myocardial contractility as an inhibitor for phosphodiesterase III (PDE III) and a calcium sensitizer. EMD 53998 increases myocardial contractility, reduces energy consumption and the risk of inducing arrhythmias.

Biological Activity
|
PDE3 |
EMD 53998, a racemic thiadiazinone derivative, is a potent Ca2+-sensitizer. EMD 53998 (0.1-100 μM) increases force of contraction (FOC) in a concentration-dependent manner. EMD 53998 increases force of contraction in human myocardium via sensitizing of the contractile proteins towards Ca2+ and by inhibition of phosphodiesterase III-isoenzymes[12].
