CPN4F
CPN4F is a chalcone derivative with antiparasitic activity. CPN4F is an inhibitor of the cysteine protease cruzain. CPN4F forms a key hydrogen bond with the Trp-184 residue in the active site of parasitic cruzain as an electrophile, and induces oxidative stress, cell membrane degradation, and necrosis, thereby inhibiting parasite proliferation. CPN4F is used in research related to Chagas disease.

In Vitro
CPN4F (15.6-1000 μM; 24-72 h) exerts potent antiproliferative effects on epimastigotes of T. cruzi strain Y, with IC50 values of 356.70 μM, 149.30 μM, and 22.95 μM at 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h, respectively[1].
CPN4F (31.2-1000 μM; 24 h) exhibits excellent trypanocidal activity against trypomastigotes of T. cruzi strain Y, with an LC50 of 32.54 μM[1].
CPN4F (15.6-1000 μM; 24 h) exhibits significant cytotoxicity in LLC-MK2 host cells, causing a concentration-dependent decrease in cell viability, with a CC50 of 99.26 μM[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
