Description

IMP-1002 is a Plasmodium N-myristoyltransferase (NMT) inhibitor. IMP-1002 inhibits myristoylation activity, blocks parasite development. IMP-1002 can be used for the research of malaria^[1].

All Parasite Isoforms :

In Vitro

IMP-1002 (0.54-400 nM; 96 h) potently inhibits the growth of P. falciparum 3D7 erythrocytic stage parasites with an EC₅₀ of 34 ± 5.8 nM following 96 h of treatment^[1].
IMP-1002 (140 nM) inhibits protein myristoylation in P. falciparum 3D7 WT parasites during the 36-45 h post-invasion window, but does not inhibit myristoylation in PfNMT^[G386E] clones^[1].
IMP-1002 (140 nM; 45 h) induces developmental arrest in P. falciparum 3D7 WT parasites during a 45 h post-invasion treatment period, but does not arrest development in PfNMT^[G386E] clones^[1].
