PTP1B-IN-34 (compound 5a) potently inhibits full-length recombinant human PTP1B (hPTP1B_1-400) with an IC₅₀ of 0.64 μM^[1].
PTP1B-IN-34 inhibits truncated recombinant human PTP1B (PTP1B_1-285) with an IC₅₀ of 3.93 μM. The potency of this compound is reduced compared with full-length PTP1B, indicating that its optimal inhibitory activity depends on the disordered C-terminal domain^[1].
PTP1B-IN-34 (1 μM) significantly enhances insulin-induced GLUT4 mRNA expression in C2C12 myoblasts^[1].
