Transfluthrin is an insecticide with extremely low acute toxicity to vertebrates. Transfluthrin acts as a mosquito repellent, exerts mosquito control effects via electric heating fumigators, and is widely used in studies related to malaria, bancroftian filariasis and mosquito-borne infectious diseases.
