Fluorescent Dye

Fluorescence is a phenomenon of photoluminescence in luminescence. When an atom is irradiated by light, some electrons around the nucleus jump from their original orbitals to higher energy orbitals under the influence of light energy, i.e., from the ground state to the first or second excited single-line state, etc. Due to the instability of the first or second excited singlet state, the electron returns from the excited singlet state to the ground state accompanied by released energy, resulting in fluorescence.

Fluorescent dyes can be covalently bound or physically adsorbed in the structure of the substance. The fluorescence properties allow for the characterization, localization and quantitative analysis of the labeled object. Fluorescent dyes have shown great potential for the detection of proteins, nucleic acids, cells, and immunoassays, attributed to the advantages in non-radioactive contamination, simple experimental operation and easy observation.

Fluorescent dyes have penetrated many fields such as pharmacology, physiology, environmental science, and information science, as well as functional studies of proteins and drug screening.

    Ac-RR-AFC TFA
    99.56%
Ac-RR-AFC TFA is a Cathepsin B fluorogenic substrate (Ex=400 nm, Em=505 nm). Cathepsin B activity in cells lysates is determined by measuring cleavage of Ac-RR-AFC TFA and its cleavage occurs at the RR-AFC amide bond. Ac-RR-AFC TFA can be used for activity assays and mechanistic studies on cathepsin B.

    Pentetic acid-13C5
Pentetic acid-13C5 (Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid-13C5) is the 13C-labeled Pentetic acid (HY-B1335). Pentetic acid (Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid) is an orally active compound with biodegradability used to construct magnetic adsorbent, which can simultaneously remove heavy metal and dye from complex wastewater. Pentetic acid can form strong metal complexes, which prevents metal ions from catalysing the decomposition of peroxygen chemicals, especially hydrogen peroxide.

    HCP
HCP is a two-photon fluorescent probe capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, which is specifically designed for real-time detection of hypochlorous acid (HClO/ClO-) produced by myeloperoxidase (MPO). Chlorination of the quinoline skeleton of HCP generates HCP-Cl, which eliminates intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) quenching and thereby produces fluorescence. HCP is suitable for in vivo dynamic imaging of HClO in the brains of epileptic mice and high-throughput screening of antiepileptic drugs (HCP-Cl: Ex/Em = 800 nm/495 nm).
