Antimalarial agent 65
Antimalarial agent 65 is an inhibitor of Plasmodium falciparum lysyl-tRNA synthetase (PfKRS1), with a pIC50 value of 6.9 against Plasmodium falciparum. Antimalarial agent 65 inhibits the growth of Plasmodium falciparum strains. Antimalarial agent 65 exhibits activity across multiple life cycle stages of the malaria parasite, including transmission-blocking activity. Antimalarial agent 65 can be used in malaria-related research.

Biological Activity
Antimalarial agent 65 (Compound 30) (40-47 h) inhibits the asexual blood-stage growth of P. falciparum strain 3D7 with an EC50 of 6 nM, and retains activity against drug-resistant strains with EC50 values of 3-5 nM[1].
Antimalarial agent 65 (40-47 h) inhibits the in vitro growth of field isolates of Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium ovale, and Plasmodium malariae, with EC50 values ranging from 2 to 6 nM[1].
Antimalarial agent 65 inhibits the growth of Plasmodium falciparum liver schizonts with an EC50 of 734 nM, but shows no activity against the liver-stage forms and hypnozoites of P. vivax[1].
Antimalarial agent 6 (24-48 h) inhibits the sexual stage of P. falciparum and mosquito oocyst development, with an EC50 value of 3-15 nM, demonstrating potential for blocking transmission[1].
