OM-4842

OM-4842 is an ansamycin antibiotic and platelet aggregation inhibitor derived from Streptomyces. OM-4842 inhibits platelet aggregation induced by Adenosine 5'-diphosphate (ADP) (HY-W010918), Arachidonic acid (HY-109590), and C16-PAF (PAF) (HY-108635), and exerts growth-inhibitory activity against Doxorubicin (HY-15142A)-resistant P388 mouse leukemia cells. OM-4842 is used in research on platelet aggregation-related disorders and drug-resistant leukemia.

OM-4842 (1.5 μg/mL; 72 h) inhibits the growth of Doxorubicin (HY-15142A)-resistant P388 murine leukemia cells in vitro^[1].
OM-4842 (compound 143) (1.5 µg/mL) inhibits the growth of Doxorubicin-resistant P388 mouse leukemia cells^[3].
OM-4842 (compound 3) is an intermediate in the urdamycin biosynthetic pathway in Streptomyces fradiae (strain Tu 2717). It is produced from aquayamycin and subsequently converted to urdamycin A^[2].
OM-4842 (5.0-25 µg/mL) inhibits platelet aggregation induced by ADP, arachidonic acid, PAF, and collagen, with MIC₅₀ values of 5.0, 12.5, and 25 µg/mL, respectively^[3].
