CBDMB
CBDMB (5-N-(4-Chlorobenzyl)-2',4'-dimethylbenzamil) is a Na+/Ca2+ exchanger inhibitor. CBDMB blocks both forward and reverse transport and preferentially inhibits Ca2+ influx by interacting with the intracellular Na+ site. CBDMB enhances glutamate-induced neurotoxicity and delayed neuronal death. CBDMB reduces procoagulant platelet responses, Annexin V-positive phosphatidylserine-exposing platelets, and COAT formation by inhibiting reverse-mode NCX, and delays the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential and superoxide production. CBDMB can be used for research on focal cerebral ischemia.

Description
In Vitro
CBDMB (10 nM-100 μM; 15-120 min) inhibits L-type Ca2+ channel-mediated Ca2+ uptake in isolated adult rat ventricular cardiomyocytes only after prolonged preincubation, with an IC50 of 4.0 μM at 120 min[3].
CBDMB (120 min) inhibits the binding of specific (+)-[3H]isradipine to L-type Ca2+ channels in isolated adult rat ventricular cardiomyocytes, with an IC50 of 7 μM at 120 min[3].
CBDMB (1-30 μM; 30 min) inhibits basal and Ouabain (HY-B1457)-stimulated 45Ca influx in rat adrenal glomerulosa cells[4].
CBDMB (0.1-100 μM) inhibits human procoagulant COAT platelet formation after CVX plus THR activation, with an IC50 of 2.85 μM[5].
CBDMB reduces overall Ca2+ influx in human COAT and non-COAT platelets after CVX plus THR activation, and modulates Na+ efflux kinetics[5].
CBDMB enhances A23187 (Calcimycin) (HY-N6687)-induced phosphatidylserine exposure in human platelets by preventing calcium efflux, with no direct inhibitory effect on PS exposure[5].
