In Vitro

CGS 18320B (0.15 nM, 0.4 nM, 1.0 nM; 2 min preincubation, 5 min reaction) competitively inhibits human placental microsomal aromatase with an apparent Ki of 0.16 nM[1].
CGS 18320B (0.17 nM, 0.5 nM, 1.7 nM, 8.4 nM; 0, 10, 20, 30 min preincubation, 10 min substrate incubation) reversibly inhibits human placental microsomal aromatase, with no time-dependent increase in inhibitory effect observed over 30 minutes of preincubation[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
