Description
In Vitro
Fosphenytoin disodium (compound VII) converts to phenytoin in rat whole blood and tissue homogenates at 37°C, with a conversion half-life of approximately 30 min in rat whole blood, <30 s in both rat liver and intestinal homogenates, and 57.5 min in dog liver homogenate[1].
