(RS)-AMPA monohydrate
Based on 1 Customer Validation
(RS)-AMPA monohydrate ((±)-AMPA monohydrate) is a glutamate analogue and a potent and selective excitatory neurotransmitter L-glutamic acid agonist. (RS)-AMPA monohydrate does not interfere with binding sites for kainic acid or NMDA receptors.

Biological Activity
|
AMPA Receptor |
(RS)-AMPA monohydrate induces dose-dependent depolarization in cultured fetal rat brainstem and lumbosacral spinal cord neurons by activating glutamate/quisqualate-preferring receptors[1].
(RS)-AMPA monohydrate activates recombinant GluR-A/GluR-B AMPA receptors in cultured mammalian cells[2].

It is recommended to prepare fresh solutions and use them promptly within a short period of time.
The percentages shown for the solvents indicate their volumetric ratio in the final prepared solution. If precipitation or phase separation occurs during preparation, heat and/or sonication can be used to aid dissolution.
