BP13944 is a potential small molecule inhibitor discovered by high-throughput screening. It can effectively inhibit the expression of dengue virus (DENV) replicons with an EC50 value of 1.03±0.09 μM. BP13944 can inhibit the replication or viral RNA synthesis of all four serotypes of DENV, but is ineffective against Japanese encephalitis virus.
