Thromboxane B3 is an eicosanoid and the stable hydrolysis product of thromboxane A3, which is synthesized from eicosapentaenoic acid by cyclooxygenase (COX) and thromboxane synthase. Thromboxane B3 participates in inflammatory cell regulation, tumorigenesis and cell proliferation processes. Elevated levels of Thromboxane B3 correlate with high-risk regions of esophageal cancer. Thromboxane B3 can be used in studies related to bladder cancer, renal cell carcinoma and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
