1. Metabolic Enzyme/Protease
  2. Phosphodiesterase (PDE)
  3. Tiropramide

Tiropramide (CR 605) is a tyrosine derivative with antispastic properties. Tiropramide hydrochloride inhibits phosphodiesterase activity involved in cAMP catabolism in rabbit colon homogenates. Tiropramide relaxes smooth muscle in rabbit isolated colon. Tiropramide can be used for the research of irritable colon and biliary dyskinesia.

Description

Tiropramide (CR 605) is a tyrosine derivative with antispastic properties. Tiropramide hydrochloride inhibits phosphodiesterase activity involved in cAMP catabolism in rabbit colon homogenates. Tiropramide relaxes smooth muscle in rabbit isolated colon. Tiropramide can be used for the research of irritable colon and biliary dyskinesia[1].

In Vitro

Tiropramide inhibits phosphodiesterase activity in rabbit colon homogenates and increases ATP- and Mg2+-dependent calcium binding to rabbit colon sarcoplasmic reticulum microsomal fractions[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
