Cephapirin hemibenzathine effectively improves the recovery of postpartum buffaloes with subclinical endometritis (SCE) and enhances their reproductive performance. Cephapirin hemibenzathine can be used for the study of subclinical endometritis in postpartum buffaloes[1][2].

In Vivo

Cephapirin hemibenzathine (500 mg, intrauterine, single dose) shows significant efficacy in improving recovery and reproductive performance in postpartum buffaloes with subclinical endometritis[1].
Cephapirin hemibenzathine (500 mg, administered as an intrauterine infusion in 19.6 g ointment base at 20-33 days in milk (DIM)) significantly improves the reproductive performance of dairy cows with subclinical endometritis[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Buffaloes with normal calving, aged 5-10 years, at parity 2-4, and with a body condition score (BCS) of 2.5-3.5[1]
Dosage: 500 mg
Administration: Intrauterine, single dose
Result: Showed significant efficacy in improving recovery and reproductive performance in postpartum buffaloes with subclinical endometritis.
Animal Model: Lactating Holstein Friesian cows[2]
Dosage: 500 mg
Administration: Administered as an intrauterine infusion in 19.6 g ointment base at 20-33 days in milk (DIM)
Result: Improved reproductive performance in cows with subclinical endometritis.
Enhanced reproductive performance in all enrolled cows.
Had no significant impact on the reproductive performance of normal cows.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
