DZ-1-DHA
DZ-1-DHA is a conjugate of DHA (HY-B2167) and DZ-1 dye. DZ-1-DHA mediates selective cellular uptake via binding to overexpressed OATP1A2. DZ-1-DHA induces the cleavage of Caspase-3, Caspase-8, Caspase-9 and PARP-1. DZ-1-DHA induces Apoptosis and Ferroptosis. DZ-1-DHA induces ROS production through a Fenton-like mechanism, causes mitochondrial membrane depolarization, and triggers lipid peroxidation. DZ-1-DHA can be used in studies related to colorectal cancer liver metastasis.

DZ-1-DHA (5-20 μM; 24 h) induces significant dose-dependent cytotoxicity in colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM) organoids, reducing cell viability to less than 15% after treatment with 20 μM for 24 h[1].
DZ-1-DHA (10-20 μM) induces significant apoptotic cell death in CRLM-like tumors[1].
DZ-1-DHA (10-20 μM) induces dose-dependent intracellular ROS production in CRLM-like tumors[1].
DZ-1-DHA (5-20 μM; 4-24 h) induces dose- and time-dependent cytotoxicity in CRLM tumor organoids, whereas only extremely low cytotoxicity is observed in normal liver and colon organoids after treatment with 20 μM for 24 h[1].
