U-62162 exhibits the most potent in vitro growth inhibitory activity against three strains of Staphylococcus aureus, with an MIC of 1.0 μg/mL, and shows selective activity against Gram-positive bacteria with no meaningful activity against the tested Gram-negative strains^[1].
