Description

Clovibactin is an antibiotic for drug-resistant bacterial pathogens without detectable resistance. Clovibactin TFA inihibits cell wall synthesis by targeting pyrophosphate of peptidoglycan precursors[1].

In Vitro

Clovibactin TFA inhibits Staphylococcus strains with MICs of 0.125-2 μg/mL[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Clovibactin TFA (20 mg/kg, iv, single dose) exhibits a pharmacokinetic profil with a Cmax of 219.3 μg/mL, an AUCto last of 31.9 μg·h/mL, t1/2 of 2 h, CL of 9.4 mL/kg/min and a Vdss of 189.8 mL/kg in mice model[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
