(E)-Cefodizime can selectively bind to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and inhibit the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, thereby exerting antibacterial activity. (E)-Cefodizime is promising for research of various bacterial infectious diseases, such as for preoperative infection prophylaxis.
