Antimalarial agent 60 (Compound 53) (1-10 μM; 72 h) potently inhibits the asexual blood-stage Plasmodium falciparum strain 3D7, with an IC50 of 116.2 nM; meanwhile, this compound exhibits extremely low cytotoxicity against human HepG2 cells, with a CC50 > 20 μM and a selectivity index > 170[1].
