Description

F2928-1 is a small-molecule polyketide antifungal antibiotic. F2928-1 can kill harmful fungi such as Aspergillus fumigatus. F2928-1 can be used in studies related to aspergillosis and candidiasis[1][2].

In Vitro

F2928-1 (0.1-10 µg/disc; 48 h) exhibits antifungal activity against Aspergillus fumigatus IFM 61493, Aspergillus lentulus IFM 62073, Aspergillus felis IFM 62093, and Aspergillus udagawae IFM 62100 in a paper disc assay, with the largest inhibition zone (16 mm) observed at 3 µg/disc against A. udagawae[1].
F2928-1 (1-256 µg/mL; 48 h, 72 h) inhibits growth of Aspergillus fumigatus IFM 61493 (MIC = 64 µg/mL), Aspergillus lentulus IFM 62073 (MIC = 128 µg/mL), Aspergillus felis IFM 62093 (MIC = 128 µg/mL), and Aspergillus udagawae IFM 62100 (MIC = 128 µg/mL) in a microdilution assay[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
