G-25671
G-25671 is a platelet cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor (Ki = 4.5 μM) and uricosuric agent, as well as the active metabolite of Sulfinpyrazone (HY-B1271). G-25671 reduces the production of thromboxane B2 and malondialdehyde from arachidonic acid (AA), and inhibits human platelet aggregation induced by Sodium arachidonate (HY-109590A). G-25671 can be used in gout-related research.

Biological Activity
G-25671 (2 min) potently inhibits Sodium arachidonate (HY-109590A)-induced aggregation in human platelet-rich plasma with a threshold inhibitory concentration of 26 μM, and is ~15 times more potent than sulfinpyrazone[1].
G-25671 (50 μM) inhibits cyclo-oxygenase-mediated metabolism of [14C]AA in washed human platelets, reducing TxB2 and HHT formation while increasing 12-HETE and unmetabolized AA levels[1].
G-25671 (5-40 μM) potently inhibits cyclo-oxygenase activity in human platelet-rich plasma, as measured by MDA generation, with a potency ~15 times higher than sulfinpyrazone, and shows parallel inhibition of MDA and TxB2 formation[1].
