UBP 1112 antagonises the depression of the fast component of the dorsal root-evoked ventral root potential induced by (S)-AP4 with apparent K_D of 5.1 μM. UBP 1112 also antagonises the (S)-AP4 induced depression of synaptic transmission, with pA₂ of 5.3. In addition, UBP 1112 (1 mM) displays little or no activity on (S)-3,5-DHPG-, NMDA-, AMPA- or kainate-induced responses on motoneurones^[1].
